Honourable John McKay Meeting
Meeting with the Honorable John McKay PC, MP Scarborough-Guildwood
The AGBU Toronto Executive Director Salpi Der Ghazarian had the pleasure of meeting the Honourable John McKay, PC, MP, Scarborough-Guildwood Member of Parliament, on August 26th at his Scarborough office. Mrs. Der Ghazarian and Mr. McKay discussed issues concerning the Armenian community in Scarborough , and Mr. McKay graciously agreed to meet with our Executive Board, our Youth and Sports committee and the Young Professionals group for a cocktail at our Centre in the near future. This first sit-down meeting served to officially initiate contact between the Toronto chapter of AGBU and the Federal Government, although Mr. McKay had visited our community centre in the past. We look forward to further developing our relationship with Mr. McKay at the upcoming cocktail meeting.
