Omnibus Meeting
On April15, 2009 the Boards of Armen Ontario, AGBU Toronto Executive , The Young Professionals and the Sports and Youth Committee met at the Alex Manoogian Cultural Centre.
The purpose was for the new board members to meet one another, discuss the common goals and objectives of AGBU.
Mr. Berge Papazian, Secretary of AGBU Central Board and President of Armen Ontario of AGBU reiterated AGBU’s mission and communicated the status, future goals and direction of AGBU worldwide.
He indicated AGBU’s ongoing dedicated support to the current programs, long term projects and youth oriented events.
Ms. Knar Basmadjian, chair of AGBU Toronto introduced the new board members.
The chairs of the Young Professionals, Haigo Derian and Sports and Youth Committee, Jack Bastermadjian presented their board members as well as their goals and plans for the upcoming year.
The AGBU Toronto Board is looking forward to work with these committees to help strengthen and further develop the Toronto chapter.
All Star Games 2009
Saturday April 4th , 2009 was one of the most exciting days for the little athletes of AGBU Toronto.
Kids of ages 7-13 from the AGBU Basketball Camp were competing for All Star Games.
A face painter, a Jumping Castle , barbeque sale, a hypnotist, were all there to keep the kids and their parents happy and excited.
Kudos to the Sports & Youth Committee and all the assistants who made this day possible.
